What Is Yoga?

Yoga is a spiritual discipline with a physical component. This physical component is the doorway through which we begin our path to self knowledge.



What are the benefits of Yoga?

Yoga is inherently therapeutic and healing on multiple levels. Not only does it work on the physical level to bring muscle balance, flexibility, agility and stamina, but it also works on the levels of self esteem and self knowledge. By accessing the breath and body in new ways, we become deeply observant of our inner emotional processes as a method of discovering negative patterns and behaviors that inhibit our happiness and personal growth. Using postures, breath work, and meditation, we learn to work through our negative patterns and develop new, healthy relationships with ourselves and our world. Discovering this, we are able to mindfully enter into the joyful play and flow of Life.
